Doubling of the manager training tax credit
In Article 19 of the 2022 Finance Act, the French government has laid out a doubling of the tax credit for manager training, pertaining to companies meeting the EU definition of a micro-enterprise.
Included in the tax credit is general training, skills assessments, apprenticeship training actions and other actions enabling the validation of acquired experience. The credit runs to a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year, including training carried out since January 2022.
The EU defines a micro-enterprise as a company with a workforce of fewer than 10, and an annual turnover or annual balance sheet of no more than €2 million. The company must also be taxed on their actual profit for its manager to benefit.
