Private income tax 2019: when do I need to submit my declaration?
Now that 2019 has come to an end, it’s time to start thinking about submitting your personal income tax return for the year.
Anyone who is considered to be a French tax resident must submit a private income tax return.
The deadline for submitting this declaration is the 28th May 2020 for non-residents (those that do not have their permanent home or centre of activity in France) and between the 28th May and 4th June 2020 for everyone else – the exact date will depend on which area of France you live in.
After you have submitted the return you will then receive a notice from the administration which will detail how much tax you are required to pay.
This may seem like a long time away, however the French tax system can be complex and confusing and it’s important to start planning your tax return as soon as possible.
That’s why here at Maupard we can complete the declaration on your behalf, thereby avoiding any fines for late or incorrect submission. To find out more, click here, or contact us at the address [email protected].
