If your French company meets the above criteria, you may be entitled to fiscal and social exemptions in France under the Young Innovative Company Initiative (JEI), an initiative to encourage the creation of innovative small and medium-sized companies. To obtain either the JEI (Jeune Entreprise Innovante) or the JEU (Jeune Entreprise Universitaire) status, there are additional specific conditions that companies applying for the respective categories must meet. These are: Jeune Entreprise Universitaire (JEU) >10% ownership held by: · students · recent graduates · research professors · students · graduates of a master’s /doctorate within the last 5 years · research professors In-house research as a primary operation.
